Fencing
We build just about any type of fence: residential cedar and composite privacy fences, commercial and municipal chain link, rustic split rail and Bronco rail, and page wire for farms. Built plumb, including on steep lots.

What a fencing job covers.
- Cedar privacy and good-neighbour fencing, stepped to follow slopes
- Composite privacy fencing with no staining, sealing or painting
- Chain link for yards, sports fields, backstops and commercial sites
- Split rail and Bronco rail for acreages, trails and parks
- Page wire farm fencing, including chicken coop enclosures
- Gates, hardware, caps and trim matched to the fence
- Old fence removal and haul-away on request
How long it takes. A home fence recently went up in 2 days, and a backyard enclosure on an acreage in one day. A backstop teardown and rebuild can typically be done within a few days.
Serving Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
Cedar, composite, chain link, rail, page wire or backstop.
Cedar
Solid board, board-on-board or custom caps and trim.
Composite
No staining, sealing or painting. Composite resists rot, warping, splintering and insect damage.
Chain link
Standard heights up to tall backstop and field fencing.
Split rail and Bronco rail
A rustic boundary that keeps the view open. Add mesh to keep pets and wildlife where they belong.
Backstops
Tall galvanized chain link backstops and field fencing for parks and ball fields.
Page wire
Farm fencing for acreages and farms. We recently replaced a failing chicken coop enclosure with new page wire, so the hens stay in and predators stay out.
Fencing questions, answered.
Cedar
How long does a cedar panel fence last?
Cedar is naturally resistant to rot, decay and insects, and with proper sealing or staining it can last 15 to 25 years or more.
Does cedar fencing need a lot of maintenance?
Cedar needs periodic staining or sealing, about every 2 to 3 years, to keep its color and extend its lifespan. It holds up well compared to many other wood types.
Is cedar fencing good for privacy?
Yes. Cedar panel fencing offers full privacy, a solid structure and a beautiful natural wood appearance that enhances curb appeal.
Chain link
How long does a chain-link fence last?
With proper installation and galvanized or vinyl coating, most chain-link fences last 15 to 20+ years with minimal maintenance.
Can a chain-link fence be customized?
Absolutely. You can choose different heights, gauges (thickness) and coatings (galvanized or vinyl-coated), and even add privacy inserts or gates to fit your needs.
Is chain-link fencing good for security?
Yes. Chain-link fences are durable, difficult to cut without tools, and can be customized with privacy slats or added height for extra security.
Composite
Is composite fencing worth the extra cost?
It costs more upfront than cedar, but many homeowners choose it because there is no staining or sealing, very low maintenance, long-term durability and a modern, uniform look. For people who don’t want ongoing maintenance, it’s often worth it.
Does composite fencing fade in the sun?
Yes, but mostly in the first few months. Most brands go through a stabilization period where the color lightens slightly, then it holds steady. UV-resistant coatings help reduce long-term fading.
How long does composite fencing last?
Most quality composite fences last 20 to 30+ years. They don’t rot, attract insects or splinter like wood, but lifespan depends heavily on proper installation and product quality.
Repair or replace
When should I replace a fence instead of repairing it?
Watch for rusty hardware, a sagging chain-link fence and shallow posts. Rusty hardware weakens the connections holding it all together. A sagging chain-link fence is often a symptom of underlying, irreparable damage that threatens its structural integrity, security and safety. Shallow posts mean weak support, which leads to leaning and instability over time. When these issues show up, it’s usually more cost-effective (and safer) to replace your fence rather than keep repairing it.
